Vintage Port

The medium garnet colour has held up quite well with some bricking on the rim, but otherwise this wine is still showing youth and it has the backbone for a long life ahead. Barolo is one of the great wines of Italy's northwestern Piedmont region. Barolo is predominantly made from the nebbiolo grape which, when young, may be tannic and austere. Over time the tannins will mellow and integrate into the wine. The 1963 Ceste Barolo has a pale garnet core, some red cherry fruit on the nose alongside game, leather and forest floor notes.
