Description and Reviews:
90 Points (outstanding) Wine Advocate.
Coffee, lavender and rose add complexity to the intense blackberry nose; on the palate the Churchill is a bold and powerful wine with the floral notes continuing through to the marmalade spiked bramble fruit. Fresh acidity and grippy tannins give massive structure - this is a wine for the long term.
Reviews: "The 2007 Churchill Vintage Port offers up an expressive fragrance of blueberry compote and fruitcake. Residing in the background providing additional complexity are notes of violets, clove, and incense. This leads to a firm, structured, muscular Port with plenty of fruit for balance. It should drink well from 2017 to 2032" Jay Miller, Wine Advocate.
"Blackberry and mahogany aromas, with hints of green coffee bean and citrus fruit. Full-bodied and very sweet, with polished tannins and a long, flavorful finish. 88-91 points." JAmes Suckling, Wine Spectator
